The International Center for Human Rights (ICHR) has begun the process of accepting nominations for the 2013 International Human Rights Award. Nominations close on October 18.
Any individual or organization can submit a nomination from mid-east countries, and any activist who fights for human rights and freedom is eligible to receive the award. The award is intended to recognize and give visibility to the work of men and women who have done outstanding work in defending and promoting human rights as defined by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Persons may not make nominations on their own behalf.
ICHR Award Ceremony will be held on November 24, 2013 in Toronto.
Each nomination should include:
1- The nominee’s C.V. / biographical information.
2- A description of human rights-related professional activity that supports the nomination.
3- Any relevant background material, and
4- A cover statement explaining why it would be particularly appropriate for the Section to recognize the nominated activist for this award.
